Porto is Portugal's second largest city and the capital of the Norte region. Porto is located in the estuary of the Douro River in the northern part of the European country and has a population of over 1.7million in the greater medtropolitan area. Portugal has hosted 13 FIVB World Tour events and in 2010, Porto was already the site of the FIVB U19 World Championships.
