Langkawi to replace Selangor event in Malaysia

 
Lausanne, Switzerland, February 24, 2017 - The 1-Star FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in Malaysia from April 15-16 has been moved from Selangor to Langkawi. Langkawi, also known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah, is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30kms off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia.

The Langkawi event is open to men's and women's teams and follows on from the two World Tour events in Australia in Shepparton and Sydney. Following the event in Malaysia, the World Tour will head to China for the Xiamen 3-Star event.

This year's World Tour features seven 1-Star events. The first will take place in Shepparton from March 3 to 5. It will be followed by the event in Langkawi and others in the Principality of Monaco (June 17-18), Pacific Harbour in Fiji (June 23-24), in Korea - in Daegu (July 14-16) and Ulsan (July 20-22), and in Agadir, Morocco (July 21-23).
