Lausanne, Switzerland, March 20, 2017 – Mariafe Artacho Del Solar and Jessyka Ngauamo of Australia showed absolute tenacity on court when they outmaneuvered Shepparton 1-Star’s silver medallists Kim Behrens and Anni Schumacher of Germany 2-0 (21-19, 21-17) in the semifinal of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Sydney 2-Star at Manly Beach on Sunday.

Artacho Del Solar and Ngauamo showed their grit and skills on the court as they packed a one-two punch against the Germans. After Ngauamo clipped the line with a winner, Artacho Del Solar matched it with excellent defence in the long rally before she nailed a cross-court hit.
Artacho Del Solar/Ngauamo reunited after playing together in 2013 at FIVB Grand Slams in Corrientes, The Hague and Gstaad, the U23 World Championship in Myslowice and the U21 World Championship in Umag, and the World Championship in Stare Jablonki. They also claimed a first place finish at the AVC Beach Volleyball U21 Championship in Chennai, India.
