Ross and Walsh Jennings ready for Fort Lauderdale

 
Lausanne, Switzerland, December 22, 2016 – Rio 2016 bronze medallists April Ross and Kerri Walsh Jennings will play together from the start of the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour. 

The pair will play at the Fort Lauderdale Major Series event that takes place from February 7-12. 

Ross revealed at the Swatch World Tour Finals in Toronto that if she did not get pregnant during the off-season then she and Walsh Jennings would continue to play during the 2017 campaign which also includes the Vienna 2017, FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships from July 28-August 6 and then try again the following off-season.

Walsh Jennings and Ross ended 2016 on a high. First they won bronze at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games by beating Brazil’s Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes 2-1 (17-21, 21-17, 15-9) in the bronze medal match at Copacabana Beach.

They also won five gold medals on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, with the fifth coming at the season-ending Long Beach Grand Slam. They also topped the podium at the Rio de Janeiro Grand Slam, Moscow Grand Slams and Cincinnati and Fuzhou Opens.
