Alison on fire ahead of Fort Lauderdale Major campaign

 
Fort Lauderdale, USA, February 8, 2017 - The Fort Lauderdale Major bustled with activity on Tuesday as athletes prepared for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour season opener.

Alison Cerutti may have gone a bit too eager with the camera as the Rio 2016 champion showcased his moves. He and partner Bruno Oscar Schmidt will play their first match on Wednesday against Casey Patterson/Theo Brunner of the USA.


The film crew struggled with camera positions and angles for 2008 Beijing Olympic gold medallist Phil Dalhausser’s interview clip. Americans Dalhausser and Nick Lucena will play Brazilian veterans Ricardo Santos and Harley Marques on Wednesday.



Rio Olympics bronze medallist April Ross squeezed in some swim time after practice.



Under the Florida sun, Swiss beach volleyball team Anouk Verge-Depre and Joana Heidrich cheered on the Swiss ski squad competing in the World Championships back home in St. Moritz.
 


Sunscreen, above all else, for the Netherlands’ Madelein Meppelink and partner Sophie Van Gestel, who take on Isabel Schneider and Victoria Bieneck of Germany on Wednesday.
