Lucerne World Tour event postponed and Fiji cancelled

Lausanne, Switzerland, April 27, 2017 - The International Volleyball Federation confirms the postponement of the Lucerne FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event to September as a result of financial difficulties faced by the promoters.

Originally, scheduled to take place from May 23 to 28, the event in Lucerne will now take place after this year's Swatch Beach Volleyball FIVB World Tour Finals and be part of the 2017/18 edition of the World Tour in September (to be confirmed).

The FIVB also confirms that the Fiji World Tour event initially scheduled to take place in January earlier this year and postponed to June following heavy rain and flooding in the country has been cancelled by the event promoters due to lack of funds.
