Lausanne, Switzerland, February 24, 2017 - Watch players and fans at the Kish Island 3-Star 2017 last week talk about the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour's new single elimination format for 1- to 4-star events.
Officially debuting at Kish Island, the format for the new FIVB Star System has the 1-Star to 4-Star events playing single-elimination tournaments for the main draw. The FIVB 5-Star events still have qualifying tournaments followed by 32-team main draws, pool play and then single elimination for the top 24 teams from pool play.
