Malaysia gearing up for Langkawi tournament

Kuala Lumpur, March 15 2017 – Malaysia is counting down the days until it plays host to its first FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour tournament, at the Langkawi 1-Star event that takes place on 15 and 16 April.

The tournament is the second 1-Star event of the World Tour calendar and follows on from the Shepparton 1-Star event that took place in Australia in early March.

The tournament will give Malaysia’s teams the chance to pit themselves against international teams, notably beach volleyball powerhouses Germany and USA who will send teams in both men’s and women’s tournaments in pursuit of the $20,000 prize for winning.
