Social Media Review: The Hague reveals Final Four

 
The Hague, The Netherlands, June 18, 2017 - Saturday’s competition at Sportcampus Zuiderpark uncovered the final four teams to contend the DELA Beach Open title in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour stop at The Hague.




Spain’s Pablo Herrera / Adrián Gavira celebrated a glorious day,





with this match point against Italy’s Paolo Nicolai / Daniele Lupo in the men’s semi-finals.




The home crowd went on to cheer for Alexander Brouwer / Robert Meeuwsen,



But Russia’s Viacheslav Krasilnikov and Nikita Liamin saw off the home team (21-16, 21-14) in quarter-final phase.



The Russian pair went on to win 2-0 in their semi-final match against Switzerland’s Nico Beeler / Marco Krattiger.



Canada’s Samuel Pedlow and Sam Schacter settled for a fifth place finish, and look forward to the next stop.



Fellow Canadians Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes likewise basked in a glorious day for a Final Four appearance,





But will have to settle for the bronze medal match after losing to Brazil in straight sets.






The Canadian tandem will face another Brazilian team, Agatha Bednarczuk and Duda Santos, to contend the women’s bronze.






Switzerland’s Joana Heidrich / Anouk Vergé-Depré are off to the women’s championship match on Sunday, 16:05 local time.





Half of the Solbergs are off to the finale, as Carol, together with Maria Antonelli, will fight for another World Tour title for Brazil.
