Social Media Review: World Tour in The Hague concludes on high note

The Hague, The Netherlands, June 19, 2017 - The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour DELA Beach Open closed on Sunday at The Hague honouring the event’s heroes, both on and off the court.

Brazil’s Agatha Bednarczuk and Duda Santos bagged the women’s bronze after winning the tie-break against Canada’s Sarah Pavan / Melissa Humana-Paredes.

Switzerland’s Joana Heidrich and Anouk Vergé-Depré took to some fun drills right before the championship match.

The title later went Brazil’s way, with Maria Antonelli and Carol Salgado changing out of their beach gear to celebrate gold.

Maria Antonelli dedicated her first World Tour title (with current partner) to her beloved Dutch “adopted” family.

Italians Paolo Nicolai and Daniele Lupo shared their bronze medal victory with fans and spectators.

All eyes were later on the men’s gold medal match.

Spain’s Pablo Herrera / Adrian Gavira settled for silver on Sunday.

Russia’s Viacheslav Krasilnikov and Nikita Liamin topped the men’s podium, and confirmed their No. 1 ranking on the 2017 World Tour so far.

It was a great weekend of volleyball,

and Brazilian vibes at the newly-built Sportcampus Zuiderpark.

But it was an even greater experience
