Qinzhou set for World Tour event in October

 
Qinzhou, China, September 1, 2017 – The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Qinzhou Open will be held from October 11 to 15 on the Gold Coast of Maowei Sea. The competition is set to include over 200 athletes from about 30 countries including hosts China, the United States, Canada, Austria and Australia.

The Gold Coast of Maowei Sea is a popular venue for sailing and jet skiing and will provide the ideal backdrop for beach volleyball. The tournament venue will feature six courts, including one main court, three side courts and two warm-up courts.

Alongside the action on the courts, spectators will also be able to participate in a number of activities around the tournament with the organisers setting up an entertainment zone at the venue.

As many as 1500 free seats will be available during the tournament, which is organised in collaboration with the China Volleyball Association (CVA), Guangxi Sports Administration, Qinzhou Municipal Government, Qinzhou Sports Administration and Jiangsu Yiming Sports Cultural Communication Co., Ltd.

The event in Qinzhou will be the second on the 2017/18 FIVB Beach Volleyball calendar after the tournament in Montpellier, France from September 7 to 9. It will be followed by stops in Aalsmer, Netherlands from October 25 to 29 and in Sydney, Australia from November 22 to 26.
