Hamburg, Germany, August 24, 2017 - Heather Bansley and Brandie Wilkerson evened their match mark at the SWATCH FIVB World Tour Finals here Thursday morning with a two-set win over Barbora Hermannova and Marketa Slukova of the Czech Republic.

In completing their Pool C schedule, the 11th-seeded and "wild card" entrants Bansley and Wilkerson posted a 2-0 (21-16, 21-15) win in 33 minutes over the sixth-seeded Hermannova and Slukova.  The match was the first-ever FIVB World Tour meeting between the two teams.

Hermannova and Slukova complete their Pool C action Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. (local time) against third-seeded Melissa Humana-Paredes and Sarah Pavan of Canada on the Rothenbaum Stadium center court.  Humana-Paredes and Pavan, who defeated Bansley and Wilkerson in three sets Wednesday, can clinch the Pool C title and a "bye" into the SWATCH quarter-finals with a win over the Czech pair.
