Invitation for Bid - FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League Finals

The Finals, which are set to take place from July 1-5, were initially set to be staged in the USA. However, due to a clash with the USA’s Independence Day, the FIVB and USA Volleyball have decided to allow cities from other countries to compete with American bidders in the best interests of global volleyball.

2020 will be the third edition of the VNL, with the men’s and women’s Finals having been held in France, the USA and China. The FIVB’s flagship event takes volleyball all over the world with each nation hosting a pool stage, ensuring opportunities for global volleyball fans to be part of the match through active fan engagement and an innovative in-venue experience.

“This announcement, which was a joint decision between the two organisations, is another move to put the fans first,” FIVB President Dr Ary S Graça F said.

“Our vision is to be the world’s number one sport, and by re-opening the bidding process, we can make sure that the stadiums are full, fans are inspired and the athletes are fully supported in their bid to win one of the biggest prizes in volleyball.”
