Barbora Hermannova, Czech Republic – “We pushed the first set really well with our serves. I lost some of my energy in the second set and struggled to find my touch on the ball and we went downhills. But we talked before the third set and we gave everything we had left. We started serving well and got a couple of blocks and we felt the energy was coming back for us”.
Marketa Slukova, Czech Republic – “Agatha and Duda are some of the most incredible players we’ve ever had in beach volleyball. We played them in the World Championships and we won but it was very close. It will be a tough game, I’m sure they will want to give it back to us. I just hope we are physically well to put up some fight. I am really looking forward to it”.
Summer Ross, United States – “We just broke down on third set. We couldn’t pass and just let them have it. They brought their game in the third set and we didn’t”.
Brooke Sweat, United States – “We are bummed about our performances in the last two matches. It has been a long season and we need to learn from this. We’ll see what we can take back and hopefully start making changes”.
