Players’ preparations in high gear for Fort Lauderdale Major

Lausanne, Switzerland, February 2, 2017 – The athletes are all eager to get off to a strong start in the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, as their preparations swing into high gear for the first event of the year, the Swatch Major Series event in Fort Lauderdale, which will be held from February 7 to 12.

Lane Carico of the United States is dreaming about sand and excited to work with her new partner Irene Pollock.

Canadian Kristina May's training with new partner Taylor Pischke has been going well.

Half of Germany’s Poniewaz twins, Bennet, hits the gym alone for some resistance band exercise, while Canada’s Michael Plantinga and Grant O’Gorman are doing heat acclimation together.

Barbora Hermannova and Marketa Slukova found some time to read, but still consider the beach volleyball court as their office. The Czech pair had some tune-up matches with Switzerland and Germany.
