Walsh Jennings and Ross feel right after Fort Lauderdale Major opener

Fort Lauderdale, USA, February 9, 2017 - The United States’ Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross played their first match at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Fort Lauderdale Major on Wednesday and switched sides for the first time in their partnership.

The move paid off Wednesday night with a 2-0 (21-18, 21-17) victory over the Netherlands’ Marleen Van Iersel and Manon Flier-Nummerdor.

Earlier, the Fort Lauderdale Major entertainment group were ready for another round of fun under the Florida sun.

Phil Dalhausser was happy to share his victory with Nick Lucena against Olympic gold medallists during an exhibition match in Rio. Victory at home on Wednesday also sees the Americans lead the pack of undefeated men’s teams at the Fort Lauderdale Major.

Alex Ranghieri waxed nostalgic about a once-a-year opportunity to play his best while having fun.

Never mind the awkward photos; The Sams of Canada, Pedlow and Schachter, were off to a rousing start, with two wins on Wednesday.
