Langkawi, Malaysia will host a double-gender FIVB Langkawi 1-Star event from April 15-16. It marks the first FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event to be held in Malaysia.

 

The 1-Star FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in Malaysia has been moved from Selangor to Langkawi. Langkawi, also known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah, is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia.

 

The Langkawi event is open to men's and women's teams and follows on from the two World Tour events in Australia in Shepparton and Sydney. Following the event in Malaysia, the World Tour will head to China for the Xiamen 3-Star event.
