The 4-Star event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the seventh tournament on the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour after stops in Fort Lauderdale (USA), Kish Island (Iran), Shepparton, Sydney (both Australia), Langkawi (Malaysia), and Xiamen (China).
