Laura Ludwig, Germany – “Only the best teams in the world are here so you cannot relax. They are definitely a good team but they looked a little tired today. Even though, when they smelled the chance in the second set they went for it. They serve really well and they putted some pressure on us but in the end we won”.
Kira Walkenhorst, Germany – “We had the morning off while they had to play an elimination match and maybe that was the difference. It has been a long season for all the teams and they looked a little bit more tired than us. It’s good that we won it in two sets and now we can prepare for the semifinals”.
Joana Heidrich, Switzerland – “We struggled on reception and setting because of their serves. Against this team is always very difficult to score because they are so good on blocking and defending. After we lost the first set we knew we had nothing to lose so we fought back. We did a better job on the second set but our side out was still not steady”.
Anouk Vergé-Depré, Switzerland – “They served really well in the first set and that brought us problems on passing and setting. It’s not easy to find solutions against a good block-defense team as they are. We are proud that we fought back in the second set and showed our level. They are a very good team and we have to accept it”.
