News Beach volleyball 04/07/2013 Seoul Challenger off to a flying start Seoul, Korea, July 4, 2013 – The Seoul Challenger competitionis currently underway in South Korea’s capital city with the first match takingplace between Haas-Hughes from the USA and Battaglene-Rohkamper from Australiaon center court. After playing three sets lasting almost an hour, the Americanduo took their first win (21-17, 16-21, 15-13).The competition will take place in a pool play format with21 teams in the main draw. The second match of the day will see Germany’s Aulenbrock-Tillmannplay against USA’s Beck-Hunkus.Australia’s Sarah Battaglene andJohannah Rohkamper will also be taking part in the women’s competition aftercoming in third in this year’s National Tour Glenelg, Australia. The USA’sHeather Hughes will also play in the tournament, having also competed in lastyear’s edition. The round of pool play will continueuntil tomorrow afternoon, right after which the second phase of elimination(round of 16) will commence with the top two ranked teams of each pool,advancing.
