Talita Antunes, Brazil – “Larissa’s serves were amazing. The ball would either hit the sand or make their receiving struggle. She had eight aces and I’d never seen that before. It really impressed me. Now we play Brazil, which is always difficult because we know each other very well”.
Larissa Franca, Brazil – “I’m glad I could score so many points with my serves and help us to win. This has been a really important and fun tournament. The semifinals will be tough, we’ll need to be really focused because whoever makes fewer mistakes will win”.
Chantal Laboureur, Germany - “The first set was close. We were leading, but we lost focus for a while and they took the chance to win it. In the second set Larissa was a serving machine. I had never seen that. She was bombing us and it was very difficult to receive”.
Julia Sude, Germany – “Larissa got a lot more confident after they won the first set. She had some lucky balls but she was very self-confident on her serving and that was the difference. Regardless, it was a good season for us”.
