Mason, Ohio, USA, May 21, 2016 - It was the key play that set USA's Kerri Wash Jennings and April Walsh on the way to victory in the women's final of the FIVB Cincinnati Open presented by the AVP .
At 7-4 ahead in the deciding third set, Ross showed superb reflexes to pick up a Xinyi Xia spike, which was partially blocked by Walsh Jennings, who also showed great reflexes to put Ross' pick up back over the net.
In the end
Xinyi spiked long to give USA an 8-4 lead and although China's Chen Xue/Xinyi Xia did eventually fight back to tie it up later in the tie break, they eventually ran out of gas as Walsh Jennings/Ross eventually wrapped up their ninth FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour title 2-1 (20-22, 21-14, 18-16).
