The pair qualified for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via the Asian continental qualifying rounds.  While Wang will be competing in her first world championships, Xue will be appearing for the fifth-time highlighted by a gold medal finish in 2013 with Xi Zhang at Stare Jablonki, Poland. While Wang has been competing on the FIVB World Tour since 2014, Xue’s international career started in 2003 at youth world championships.  A regular on the international circuit since 2006, Xue and Zhang compiled 15 gold medals, 38 podium placements and 45 “final four” finishes in 81 FIVB World Tour events.  The pair captured the bronze medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and finished fourth in the London 2012 Summer Games.
