Lausanne, Switzerland, October 25, 2017 - Pairs from France, Sweden and Austria have pushed through the Qualification to complete the 16-team Women's Main Draw at the one-star FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Aalsmeer Open in the Netherlands.
France dominated the qualifiers with straight-set wins of both their entered teams of Alexia Richard / Margaux Carrere and Aline Chamereau / Lezana Placette over home teams.
In the closest match of the day, Austria's Eva Freiberger Elisabeth Klopf came from a set behind to knock out 2012 Olympian Lynne Beattie and veteran teammate Melissa Coutts of Scotland 2-1 (19-21, 21-18, 15-9).
Sweden's Kristina and Susanna Thurin completed the four qualifiers who advance to the 16-team, single knockout Main Draw beginning Thursday.
