Paolo Nicolai, Italy – “The last two weeks were amazing. We won the European Championships last week and now we’re in the podium again. It’s a good way to finish the season. The Polish are an amazing team. It’s great to finish the season with a win”.
Daniele Lupo, Italy – “We are really satisfied. We’d lost our semifinal match in the morning and it’s good to see that we managed to refocus for this game. They played really well in the second set and we were not so aggressive. We are happy with the bronze, but there is always a bit of frustration because we wanted the gold”.
Bartosz Losiak, Poland – “We made a lot of mistakes and wasted the chances we had. We started slow in the third set and it was hard to catch them after that. Last year we finished fifth, so this is a better result for us. Hopefully we can keep climbing next year”.
Piotr Kantor, Poland – “We played very well in the pool stage and also in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals and bronze medal match, though, we lost the two matches. It’s a long season and we happy it’s the last tournament and we can rest now”.
