Kish Island 3-Star becomes cornerstone for Iran’s bright future in beach volleyball

 
Kish Island, Iran, February 18, 2017 – Iran’s player-coach Reza Naeini took the FIVB to Kariz-e-Kish, the subterranean city of Kish, and shared his vision of bringing beach volleyball into the spotlight in Iran.

Kariz-e-Kish is a breath-taking monument - an ancient underground aqueduct on Kish Island. A masterpiece of human architecture, it was built over 2,500 years ago and has been the cornerstone of settlement on the island.

Iran Volleyball and Naeini are working hard to lay the foundation for Iran’s bright future in beach volleyball.

The 39-year-old shares why he is convinced that beach volleyball can become as popular as volleyball and how the Kish Island 3-Star has a key role to play in the evolution of the discipline in his country.
